Braughing Methodist Church

The Street, Braughing, Ware SG11 2RD

Sunday Worship 11 am Minister Revd Gillian Hulme

Braughing is a small village church in a traditional Methodist chapel. The membership is currently 10 and this has remained fairly consistent for the last 27 years, although there are only three of the current members who have been there for the whole 27 years! There is a regular attendance at worship of around 10 people. The congregation prefer a more traditional style of worship but are open to occasional different approaches. The church provides the Circuit with 2 local preachers and 2 organists who also help out at other Circuit churches.

Braughing village has a population of around 1200 people.  There are three churches in the village: the Anglican Parish Church, the Congregational (not URC) Church and the Methodist Church. The level of ecumenical involvement has been minimal in the past however it is hoped that with a new vicar in post there will be more opportunities to work ecumenically.
